Blue Ridge Layers Thunderstruck

Thunderstruck Ridge Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Maggie Valley, NC provides a magical view of both the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the Alarka and Nantahala mountains beneath them.  On this particular evening, the late evening sun was just about to go behind the tallest peaks of the Smokies.  Before it was blocked by the towering peaks, the golden sidelight came into each individual peak and valley and painted a gorgeous scene for me to photograph.
