Cape Hatteras National Seashore contains some of the most beautiful and remote beaches on the East Coast. The beaches stretch along a thin strip on the outer rim of the North Carolina Coast with the island being only a few hundred yards wide in spots. These beaches are often empty of people and full of wildlife. This particular morning as I shot the dunes near Oregon Inlet, I found this beautiful spot amongst the dunes. The light began to break through the clouds and catch the whole sky on fire with beautiful reds and golds.
