Horizon: Seagrass Sunrise
"After a long evening shooting the Milky Way over the Outer Banks lighthouses, we decided to just sleep the last couple of hours in the car and head over to a dune field nearby for sunrise. My daughter Rebekah was with me, and she happily got up and went exploring the dunes with me to find that perfect shot. It was a beautiful and calm morning, with seagulls calling each other and the sound of boats heading out for a day of fishing. As the sun arose, we climbed up the dune and I got my tripod and camera set up. As I turned to grab a filter, my camera and tripod fell sideways on the dune and Rebekah caught it! Without her help I would have been dealing with a camera full of sand. I was so thankful that she had come with me to help. A minute later, with a camera that was thankfully not dunked in sand, I was able to get this shot."
