Linear Tide Clock Collection

Real-Time Precision Meets Fine Art

Developed on request over the past year, our tide clocks are 100 percent accurate no matter where you live. And they are beautiful!

Beyond Traditional Guesswork

Most tide clocks guess. They rely on basic, generic lunar cycles, which can easily be off by 30 to 90 minutes due to daily wind patterns, barometric pressure, and complex coastal geography.

Our tide clocks don't guess. They connect directly to NOAA, the official U.S. tide authority, and display the actual high and low tide times for your exact beach, updated automatically every single day.

The Display: Your Day at a Glance

This is not just photography; it is a live, highly functional marine instrument seamlessly embedded into art.

Linear Tide Clock Collection
  • Visual Tide Indicators. Your whole day is visible at a glance. High and low tides appear as distinct, color-coded bars; blue indicates high tide and green indicates low tide along an integrated LED strip. The lights gently rise and fall in brightness, with peak illumination marking the exact mathematical moment of each tide change.
  • Real-Time Tracking. A small, cleanly integrated pulsing dot continuously tracks and shows the current time along the linear timeline.
  • Comforting Night Light. At night, the display automatically dims to cast a soft, ambient glow rather than a disruptive glare. This transforms the piece into a comforting night light while ensuring the clock face remains perfectly readable as a timepiece.
  • Completely Configurable. Use your phone to change the NOAA station to your preferred beach. You can also tune the colors, show/hide the tide bars at night, and so on.
Art and Framing

Our Horizon and Sanderling clocks feature premium, full-color, high-resolution photographs mounted securely to a rigid board.

Every clock comes finished with a simple, removable wood frame. We can't guess what frame you'll prefer, so you have the ultimate flexibility to display the artwork exactly as it is, or customize the framing to match your home's specific decor.

Each clock features its own unique description and story from photographer Brent McGuirt, detailing the exact moment, light, and coastal location where the shot was captured.

Dimensions: Where Art Meets Engineering

To house our custom, precision LED hardware, every clock we build must be exactly 40 inches wide. To give you the perfect visual presence on your wall, we offer this width in two distinct height profiles.

  • The Standard Wide-Aspect Profile. Measuring 40" x 7.5" and priced at $450, this option offers a sleek, modern horizontal canvas that fits elegantly above door frames, entryways, or in minimalist wall spaces.
  • The Full-Size Print Profile. Measuring 40" x 30" and priced at $650, this option serves as a grand, gallery-scale statement piece. It showcases the artwork in its full height and vertical glory, like Brent's original beachscapes, while seamlessly integrating our signature horizontal tide display.
Custom Collaborations: Fine Art or Your Own Beach

Whether you want to showcase a professional masterpiece or a deeply personal memory from your favorite shoreline, we'll help. We love creating bespoke tide clocks!

  • Explore Brent McGuirt’s Wider Portfolio. We proudly feature a select group of our collaborator's radiant Splendor of Light Carolina Coast photographs in the collection below. Because his luminous work stands beautifully on its own, we actively encourage you to explore his full portfolio on his website. If you fall in love with a different coastal scene there, let us know! We will gladly custom-build your tide clock around his art.
  • Feature Your Own Photography. If you have a personal photograph from a meaningful family trip, a favorite local shoreline, or your own piece of paradise, send it our way. We will adapt your image into a completely custom display.

How the Custom Process Works

We treat every custom build like a unique gallery commission to ensure the final product looks flawless on your wall.

  • Meticulous Design and Proofing. We carefully adjust your image's contrast and spacing, adding background-fading as needed so the time markings and LED tide lines read with perfect clarity. You will receive a digital proof to review and approve before anything goes to print.
  • Submissions and Setup Fee. Custom builds include a $100 non-refundable processing fee. To ensure we get the absolute best composition, you can submit up to three different photo options; we will collaborate with you to pick the one that will translate best.
  • Composition Tip. Because the 40-inch width is structurally required for our internal hardware, panoramic orientation shots or images with a generous amount of open sky or water tend to work best.
Simple Five-Minute Setup

Getting your clock running just takes five minutes. First, plug the cord into any standard wall outlet; there are no batteries to replace and no charging routines to manage. Next, connect the clock to your home Wi-Fi network (we make it easy) and select your local NOAA tide station to complete the initial configuration.

Once that brief setup is complete, it simply works. The internal system handles daylight saving time changes and daily updates automatically; you never have to adjust it again. We also include neat, matching cord covers at no extra charge to keep the final installation clean and wire-free. Complete details are available in the included User Guide.
